What is UL certification?
The UL mark is a symbol of assurance. UL refers to certification issued by Underwriters Laboratories, confirming that products meet safety and quality standards under the regulations of Canada and the United States.
UL 508A specifically covers the certification of industrial control panels. It confirms that electrical cabinets have been manufactured and evaluated in accordance with the applicable North American standard.
The UL 508A standard applies to industrial control panels within its defined scope.
UL certification assesses product safety through demanding requirements and tests. Underwriters Laboratories has a long history of product evaluation and certification, including tests of service life, resistance and durability.
Mave Ingenieros is UL certified under UL 508A. We hold our own UL File and undergo regular UL inspections to ensure correct application of the standard and the design of all our cabinets. Our staff have successfully passed the rigorous official UL examination to qualify as MTRs (Manufacturers Technical Representatives). This means we are trained and authorised to meet US and Canadian requirements, as well as those of other countries that adopt UL standards.
